I was given the task to design a full App prototype that targets the buildings' residents, and should reflect Horizon’s modern and elegant brand. Deliverables include interactive flows in Figma, a handover and follow-up with development, all completed over a 2-month timeline.
I began with a quick discovery phase to define user needs and core flows. Next came wireframing and low-fidelity design to map the structure, followed by high-fidelity UI design that reflects Horizon’s luxury brand. I did market research on similar apps and wanted to mimic AirBnb's simple and clean aesthetic. Once visuals were approved, I built an interactive prototype in Figma to simulate key features like unlocking doors and contacting security. The process ended with internal reviews, refinements, and development handoff.
The final result was a high-fidelity prototype that brought Horizon Capital’s smart living concept to life. The prototype showcased all necessary user stories such as unlocking doors, contacting security, and managing building services. Through the process, I learned the importance of balancing luxury aesthetics with intuitive functionality, and how close collaboration with stakeholders and developers helped shape a solution that feels both premium and practical for real-world use.
